0 Avatar

James Cameron's “Avatar” is a powerful, inspiring film that demonstrates movie-making at its best, and it delivers a crucial message for our time- all living beings are connected and that those who seek to exploit nature rather than respect it will only destroy themselves.

With “Avatar”, Cameron has delivered a fast-paced fantasy adventure that weaves together a stream of powerful themes that are so important to our modern world that they extend far beyond the world of fictional film: Issues like corporations destroying nature for profit, the lack of respect for living creatures, and the failed policies of "military diplomacy" that the USA continues to pursue. The themes in “Avatar” reflect the greatest challenges of our modern world, and the message of “Avatar” is both deeply moving and highly relevant to the future of human civilization.

Not many who view “Avatar” will understand all this, of course. To the younger crowd, Avatar is simply a cool action-adventure film with a compelling love story that makes it a great date flick. But to those who've been around on this planet a little longer, the story of Avatar is a far important story of good versus evil, war versus peace, destruction versus healing and isolationism versus interconnectedness.

“Avatar” is much more than an action flick, it's much more than a love story. In my view, it's an urgent message for our modern world where many of the atrocities committed by the human invaders in “Avatar” are being carried out right now against our own planet. As like in “Inception”, it’s a push of the nature….

0 The Perfect Browser

In a recent advertisement, Google Chrome claimed itself to me be the fastest internet browser on the web and in another article Opera claimed its newest version 11.50 to be the most downloaded browser with 32 000 000 downloads within 8 days of its launch. There’s probably a virtual war going on among companies to promote their products in the best possible way they want. Every other day each of the browsers providing company launches an up-to-date version of their browser equipped with the latest technology to accelerate and enhance your Internet experience. With all these going on, the worst affected are the users or the customers who do not know the real things that are behind these raunchy ad campaigns.
We will rate each of the browsers according to 3 parameters that matter the most, they are the speed with which the browser functions, the safety the browser provides against malwares and the ease to use on your system with compatibility.

SPEED: - There must have been many instances when you must have waited for several minutes for your webpage to load on a particular browser, which seemed to be so much painstaking that you really wanted to break your system at that moment. It’s not the system’s fault; it’s your fault of choosing the wrong browser. According to certain research and testing Opera took an early lead with an average start-up time of only 7 seconds, followed by Chrome, Internet Explorer and Safari. Firefox took a little more time to warm-up, but didn’t fall far behind from the get-go. When the issue of navigation came Firefox showed the best pace and smooth transitions while navigating from page to page.

SECURITY: - In a recent research, NSS Labs found that IE9 detected 100% of the malware sites the company threw at the browser, followed by IE8 with 90%. The next best browsers were Safari 5, Firefox 4 and Chrome 10 with 13% each, followed by Opera with just 5%. According to practical experience, Google Chrome is the best because it uses “sandboxing”, which makes every tab run independently in the browser. This is great because if a certain application crashes, it will stay isolated to the tab it’s in, not affecting any other tabs.

EASE TO USE and FEATURES: - Firefox has 6000 different add-ons for its users to enhance browsing experience. Its supports various extensions of various download managers like IDM and DAP which makes the browser the best for viewing and downloading videos. Whereas, Google Chrome is well organized and fairly intuitive. It has a simple interface which gives users the tools they need at hand. Google Chrome features are powerful and effective, yet simple to use. The frame is thin, and Google Chrome even allows users to launch certain web apps in their own window, without the toolbar and url box, taking full screen views to a new level. Google Chrome adds a whole new level of simplicity to web applications. Others like Opera, IE and Safari remain on the darker side compared to above two.
According to personal experience Google Chrome stands out among others in more than one ways and is the perfect internet browser.
